Stumptown Comics Fest!
Stumptown Comics fest is upon us!
The festival is this weekend from 10-6 at the Lloyd Center Doubletree. It costs 6$ for one day, or 10$ if you want to come both days…it’s going to be so much fun. If you live in Portland you should definitely come. Then you can see that I have NOT been slacking off…I have been busting my butt to finish the first chapter of Batcave Beach, which Aaron and I have submitted for the Stumptown Trophy Awards. Come on Saturday and vote for our book (if you think it deserves to win)! I hope to see you there!!!
Batcave Beach Cover Sneak Peak

Coming April 24th
Gizmag!
Hey everyone!
I know i’ve been terrible about updating lately, but the first volume of Batcave Beach will be done by friday, and then I can get back on track with my diary comics.
In the meantime, Aaron and I both did an interview with the online art magazine www.gizmag.eu. It’s full of interesting favorites and facts about yours truly. If you’re interested, you can view or download the pdf here. Enjoy!
Romancing a Lumberjack.
I finished the embroidery for the cover of “Romancing a Lumberjack”, a cd coming soon from The Jellyfish Bandits!
Projects.
Hey everyone! So I know i’m lagging further and further behind in my dailies, but I just wanted to tell everyone: I’m still working on them…slowly but surely. You may think i’m a slacker, but I’m really not! Here’s why…First of all, I got a job! It’s only a temporary thing at my Dad’s company, but I am SO grateful for it. For those of you who don’t already know my situation, I have been unemployed since I came back from Europe LAST JANUARY. So having a paycheck feels pretty amazing. You’ll hear more about my job later (through my comics) but I also wanted to update everyone on the projects i’m working on now.
1. Batcave Beach.
2. Embroidering the cover of the soon-to-be-released CD of my band The Jellyfish Bandits.
3. Aaron and I are creating a stop-motion web series called “Buffalo Romantico”, which i’ll be doing the art for.
4. (Hopefully) Two new minicomics! One will be short autobiographical stories, One will be about the roadtrip Aaron and I went on back in October 2009. I’m hoping to debut them at Stumptown Comics Fest (Keaton, Aaron and I are sharing a table. If you live in the Portland vicinity, I hope you’ll stop by!).
I am SO excited about all these projects, and I can’t wait for you all to see them! Thanks for being patient with the dailies, because I will be posting more soon too! Cheers!

The Perils of Being a Scavenger.
This comic (and others) are featured on the new website: www.bundle.com. It’s a neat financial website that focuses on people sharing stories about their experiences with money. You should check it out!
