Colorful Portraits only $30 a head!
You just email me a photo of yourself (or someone else) you’d like painted, a la melinda, and you’ll have an art piece you can keep forever! It could make a great gift or a facebook, blog or tumblr profile pic that really stands out! (USA Shipping Included)

If you've enjoyed reading my comics and have a little extra money to throw my way, I'd greatly appreciate it. I am a young, unemployed artist living in the city trying to scrape up rent money every month (no guilt trips here...), so any money you could donate would be great. If you have 10$ or more to send my way, I'll make it worth your while! Include your shipping address and I'll send you a small drawing or piece of art...each one will be unique. Thanks everyone!

Project on the way!!!

Hey everyone! So I know i’ve been absent for awhile…i’m still working on more daily comics, but I’m late in painting them and posting them…more soon, i promise. Ok, so here’s the deal. I’m not just slacking off…Aaron and I are working on a comic together that we’re trying to win a grant for. If we win it, we’ll get funded to self-publish it, which would be really awesome. But the due date is September 30th, and I have a LOT more work to do for it before we send it off, so i’ve been putting in lots of hours on this project. In addition to this grant we’re going for, we also just received word that we’ll be going to APE (Alternative Press Expo) this year. It’s a comic convention in San Francisco the weekend of October 17th, so I’ve got a lot of work to do before we go to that as well (i’ll hopefully be printing out a volume of my daily comics!). Busy busy busy!

Anyways, as a treat…I’m posting one of my pages, and one of Aaron’s pages for the comic we’re doing. The tentative title is “Okay? Okay.” and it’s a subjective comic documentation recanting our relationship. In other words, it’s what we remember about our relationship through our eyes, and our art. It’s going well so far, and surprisingly, no fights have arisen from it….yet.

After we finish it, it’ll be around 60 pages, and I’ll be selling it at APE and off of my website. Let me know what you think, and I promise more daily comics will be coming soon. Thanks everyone!

Love it! I love how it’s the same scene through both of your eyes because there are commonalites but also differences based on how you each remember it. You are awesome :) I love checking your daily comics

  • Cute how you remembered each others outfits!

i’ll be looking forward to your new project.

  • Ahhh this is perfect. And particularly caught my eye ’cause my first date with my boyfriend was also The Fall (but at the Hollywood Theater)! And the handholding thing kinda happened too! Also, the hand sequence reminds me of The Virgin Suicides… The end…
